One of my pet sitting "babies". Mia thinks she's a lap dog, really. She doesn't realize that she weighs almost 100 pounds. This is the look she would give me when she'd want me to get down on the floor with her so she could sit on me. Yea, I'd let her.

I think I'd let her do just about anything she wanted and her requests for attention would be granted asap....that is if she gave me a look like this! :)

Yep, that's pretty much what she got out of me too. I don't think I had an inch of my face that wan't kisse(licked) by her either. She's a sweetheart, but a chunkymonkey.

She's close to 100 pounds, that's why she didn't get to sit on my lap much. She's a pitbull mix, probably with bull dog. She is a doll and one of the sweetest dogs you'd ever meet. I LOVED babysitting her and her brother while their parents were away. Her brother was shy with the camera, but not with me, so I wasn't able to get any good photos of him. Mia, obviously, wasn't shy about getting her picture taken.

I thought she might have pit in her. They can be really nice dogs. They aren't my favorite dog as a breed, but I've met some sweeties. I'm watching 8 Below right now, and there is a dog I love. Huskies and Malamutes they eat like horses so I can't afford one but they are beautiful dogs.

Everyone I know has suggested that I watch 8 Below because we have a husky. We found in on the street very thin and pretty sick. We've had him for almost four years now. He doesn't like to eat really, except we have to watch him with our cats. I keep wanting to put up pictures of him but he won't stay still b/c he's a very busy man. I've met alot of super nice pits actually. I'd own one in a minute, but we've never found one on the road. The closest we've come is recently we adopted a rottweiler mix that the girl we do rescue found and a german shephard that I found on the road. We have quite the zoo with all the cats/dogs in the house. Most people either love it or hate it. We love it. :boogie:

Good grief, how do you manage to see all those big dogs! My Shep eats 20lbs of dry food a week. 8 Below is good. They remain a team to survive, don't know who to feel sorrier for, the guy who has to struggle to get back to them, or the dogs.

We have it down to a system and they all only get a set amount twice a day. We can do 40lbs between three dogs in about two & half weeks. Our little dog is the easiest of course. I would probably feel more for the guy because he had to leave his dogs, but I know that I'd get super upset about a few of the dogs that die. Especially now that I have a husky. It almost broke my heart when I lost Perrin, he's my avatar.

Do you have any photos up of your Shep?

I put out a week feeder for Charlie, it sure made life easier since he stays outside all the time. I don't have pictures...he doesn't stand still long enough! Also it's hard to take a picture of a dog that keeps hitting you with body slams! hehehehe.

Yeah the movie has sad parts, but Disney has always been good about making the loss of an animal realistic without making a big deal of it. Mother Nature is a hard taskmaster, and death is a part of the cycle of life. And this movie is more about life than death.

Yea, I know that Disney does a good job, but I guess that now since I have a husky of my own (unexpectantly) that it would be tougher on me. Plus I know he's a wuss and couldn't make it in the snow. I worked as a vet tech for 8 years and learned to be objective about death, but when it comes to someone that looks like one of my "kids" I'm a big softy and don't like to cry in front of people.

We can't leave food out all the time because of the cats and our Charlie is a chow hound and would weigh a ton. Plus the husky, MoeMoe, is food aggressive, perhaps from running the streets for so very long. How big is your Charlie? Is he a German Shep or a GS mix? Sometimes I just wish they'd slow down enough for a few photos.

Hey and before I forget this time, your art is really cool. I'm new to DA so I've never seen anything like it. I like it!!!!
